Owner, Gaylene Riepel, has been in the tax and accounting business since 1992. She earned her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Arizona in 1987 and then set out to pass the CPA exam in 1992. Because living in a small town did not afford the opportunity to get the experience requirement to get her CPA license, Gaylene opened her own accounting and tax business in 1992. To expand practice to representation areas, she took and passed the Enrolled Agent Exam in 2010 and received her Certificate of Enrollment in January of 2011. This allows her to represent clients before all branches of the IRS, the same privilege that exists for CPA’s and attorneys. To add to her experience, Gaylene has also worked in the nonprofit world, in a financial industry firm, and at a biotech manufacturing company.
In her spare time Gaylene enjoys horse activities, especially dressage, volunteer opportunities with church, and other organizations, travel, and spending time with her family.
I use Drake Software for my tax preparation, and with the advent of the Affordable Care Act, they have come up with DrakeHealth as a way to find health insurance options without going through the Exchanges if a person is ineligible for the the Premium Tax Credit. This is also an area that your accounting and tax professional can help in planning for the upcoming year. You can go to the following websites to look at the options
